The primary school pupil gets patent certification for the invention of "Windbreak umbrella"
    

    Gao Qian Qian a primary school pupil in Rudong county, Jiangsu province accepted the patent certification of "Windbreak umbrella" granted by national bureau of knowledge and property right.
It is reported by "Yangtze Evening Paper" that the idea of inventing a windbreak umbrella occurred to the 13-year-old girl when her umbrella was turned over in the rain and she was soaked through like a drenched childen. She made investigation for information. She asked the teachers and made it clear why the umbrella was turned over in the wind. After careful consideration and practicing again and again, she cut open a few fir-absorbing holes to reduce the air pressure in the umbrella at the same time she made a little improvement of the holes so as to prevent rain water from getting into the umbrella. This kind of umbrella is of great value in practical use and is easy to make.
